AD4D™

Agriculture Data for Development

The data intelligence spine of KM360™. AD4D™ governs, aggregates and analyses the agricultural data generated across every platform in the ecosystem — turning farmer‑level signals into ecosystem credit scores, supply forecasts, donor-grade impact reports and decision-ready market intelligence.

[ 01 ] The Gap

Agricultural data is everywhere. Intelligence is nowhere.

Banks underwrite blind. Off-takers forecast on guesswork. DFIs report on surveys six months stale. Input companies plan a season behind. The data exists — in apps, on phones, in dukas, on weighbridges — but it lives in silos and dies on hard drives. AD4D™ is the layer that lifts it, links it, governs it and turns it into decisions, contracts and capital.

— The AD4D™ moat
  • Consent — registered Data Controller & Processor under PDPA 2022
  • Depth — six signals per farmer
  • Time — multiple seasons of behaviour
  • Integration — across the full value chain
[ 02 ] The Six Signals

Six signals per farmer. Multiple seasons. One credit score that lenders actually trust.

AD4D™'s credit model blends six behavioural signals captured across the ecosystem — each consented, time-stamped and tied to a unique Farmer Digital Passport.

SIG 01

Identity

Source · Vikundi.Digital™

Verified KYC, plot location, group affiliation and household profile — the foundation everything else hangs from.

SIG 02

Inputs

Source · Duka.Pembejeo™

What was bought, when, from whom, for which crop — tying purchases to seasons and plots. Farm investment: the farmer's purchasing power across Farm Management Services — tillage cost, seed, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, post-harvest and beyond.

SIG 03

Advisory

Source · Maarifa™

Lessons consumed, quiz performance, certificate attainment — a behavioural proxy for agronomic practice.

SIG 04

Payments

Source · Jembe.Pesa™

Wallet flow, repayment history, savings discipline — the standard fintech credit substrate, made rural.

SIG 05

Yield

Source · Mazao.Gulio™

Quantities sold, grades achieved, off-taker confirmations — the outcome signal that closes the loop.

SIG 06

Farming Calendar

Source · My Climate™

Tracks farm GAP activity against season requirements — linking farm performance to adherence with Good Agricultural Practice instructions, season after season.

[ 03 ] Products & Services

Eight intelligence products. One spine.

01Score

Ecosystem Credit Scoring

6-signal farmer credit scores delivered per Farmer ID. The first scoring model in the region grounded in consented, longitudinal behaviour, not just transaction snippets.

02Supply

Agricultural Supply Intelligence

Harvest forecasts, supply-volume projections and quality outlooks — pre-season visibility for traders, off-takers and processors.

03KPI

Group KPI Dashboard

A live control tower aggregating every platform's performance into one operating view — for partners running ecosystem-scale programmes.

04Impact

DFI Impact Reports

SDG-aligned, automated impact reporting: farmer counts, gender disaggregation, income uplift — ready for donor and grant cycles.

05Data

Commercial Data Services

Paid access to anonymised market intelligence for input companies, banks and researchers — under licence, with full consent provenance.

06Risk

Predictive Risk Alerts

Early-warning models for credit default, logistics bottlenecks and post-harvest loss — surfaced before the field knows.

07EUDR

EUDR Traceability Data

Farm-level documentation chain for European Union Deforestation Regulation export compliance — geolocated, time-stamped, audit-grade.

08Reports

Tanzania Agricultural Intelligence

Annual market-intelligence publications for development audiences — the only longitudinal smallholder dataset in Songwe-Rukwa.

[ 04 ] The Four-Layer Architecture

Built in layers. Trust at the bottom. Intelligence at the top.

Layer 01 / Identity & Trust

Farmer Digital Passport.

A unique, consented Farmer ID with KYC, plot geolocation, household and group affiliation — the spine every other layer hangs from.

· Status· Operational
Layer 02 / Transaction & Behaviour

Every action, written in.

Input purchases, advisory consumption, payments, savings and yields flow continuously from each platform into a unified behavioural record.

· Status· In Build
Layer 03 / Operational & Logistics

The physical world, indexed.

Aggregation, transport, weighbridge, delivery and receipt data — tying every kilogram of grain to a verified farmer and a verified contract.

· Status· Roadmap
Layer 04 / Portfolio Intelligence

Decisions, not dashboards.

Credit scores, supply forecasts, risk alerts and impact reports — the layer that turns data into commercial and policy decisions.

· Status· Roadmap
[ 05 ] Consent & Compliance

The data belongs to the farmer. Use of it begins with permission — and registered with the regulator.

Every data point AD4D™ ingests flows through a consent-first framework. Kilimo Maendeleo is compliant as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor under the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, No. 11 of 2022 — in force from 1 May 2023 — supervised by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). Audit-logged, revocable, transferable.

— Four data principles
  1. 01 Single source of truth
  2. 02 Farmer consent first
  3. 03 Clear data ownership
  4. 04 Automated impact reporting

The identity layer.

Farmer Digital Passports anchor every AD4D™ signal.

→ 07 · Jembe.Pesa™

Score becomes credit.

AD4D™ scoring drives Jembe lending decisions.

Climate × behaviour.

Hazard signals fused with farmer-level intelligence.

— Get involved

Underwrite. Forecast. Report. Decide.

For DFIs, banks, input majors, traders and researchers who need verifiable agricultural intelligence on a continent where data has historically gone dark at the village edge.
